Biografija

Laibach je slovenačka i jugoslovenska avangardna i industrijska grupa, osnovana 1. juna 1980. godine u rudarskom gradu Trbovlju. Kao muzičko krilo umetničkog kolektiva Neue Slowenische Kunst (NSK), grupa je od samog početka izazivala kontroverze provokativnom upotrebom političkih, totalitarnih i militarističkih simbola, koristeći strategiju subverzivne afirmacije. Prvi samostalni album „Laibach” objavljuju 1985. godine za ljubljanski ŠKUC, nakon čega potpisuju za britansku izdavačku kuću Mute Records. Tokom osamdesetih i devedesetih godina stiču svetsku slavu albumima poput „Nova akropola”, „Opus dei” i „Sympathy for the devil”. Poznati po specifičnim obradama pop i rok klasika, ali i po konceptualnim projektima, Laibach je postao jedan od najuticajnijih sastava sa prostora bivše Jugoslavije. Godine 2015. postali su prva zapadna rok grupa koja je nastupila u Severnoj Koreji. Sastav je i danas aktivan, nastupajući širom sveta.
